O’odua M’oun M’aworan, a TV station owned by Sola Fajobi of Next Movie Star hosted Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe alongside her husband on the 7th of April 2013 at the Troy Lounge in Ogba.
This event was in line with the tradition of celebrating industry players. It has in the past hosted the likes of Emeka Ike, Iya Rainbow, Ruggedman.
On arrival, after the red carpet she was checked into a room
alongside her entourage of 4 ladies, she
came down at about 20minutes later to grace the hot seat.
The husband, Lanre Gentry drove from his own hotel to the
event 30 minutes ahead of Mercy who was to come in from Iyabo Ojo’s event and he
was seated at the VIP section of Troy Lounge
Mercy during the question and answer section stated that “the
only regret I had was not marrying my husband earlier, from the outset of
marital life. I would have preferred him to be the father of my daughter.
Lanre
Gentry is the man that any woman would wish for”.
A photo frame was being presented to her and after which she danced to the tune of the musician-Sunny Melody and retired into her room at about 10:30 pm. Her husband went to check on her shortly after and they left. By then Mercy had changed from the red carpet look to a more homely white jalamiya. She got into her car and tried to start it but all to no avail. So she took her things from her car and enters into her husband’s car.
Meanwhile Sola Fajobi who was at the event also was at the VIP Section through out. As at the time she was leaving, solar was at the VIP section dancing to the tunes of Sunny Melody.
